The Golden State Warriors were ranked as the NBA’s most valuable brand for the third consecutive year, with an estimated value of US$1.5 billion, according to Brand Finance. In 2nd place, the Los Angeles Lakers reached US$1.1 billion. After winning the 2023–2024 season title, the Boston Celtics saw a 50% increase in value, finishing third with US$881 million. In total, the combined value of the NBA teams’ brands reached $11.5 billion.

In terms of value growth, the Denver Nuggets were in the lead, increasing 122% to $344 million. Increased game attendance, higher ticket costs, and the 2022–2023 title all contributed to the surge.

The second-highest-value team in the NBA is the Los Angeles Lakers. The value in 2024 was $1.07 billion.

In contrast, the Milwaukee Bucks and Brooklyn Nets recorded drops of 13% and 18% in the value of their brands, respectively.

Revenues are also anticipated to rise further with the signing of new domestic media rights contracts for the 2025–2026 season. Each team is expected to receive $230 million per year, compared to the current $88 million. The increase promises to strengthen franchises and create more opportunities for growth.
