Donald Tusk: War is coming; Europe is not prepared

Poland’s Prime Minister, Donald Tusk, said Europe has entered a pre-war situation. But Europe has no preparation for this. He claims that no nation in Europe will be safe if Russia wins the war and defeats Ukraine.

Donald Tusk told the European press, “I don’t want to scare anyone. However, war has not disappeared from society. The war is now real, which started two years ago.’

The Polish Prime Minister warned that war is knocking on the door of Europe on the same day as Russia’s drone and missile attacks targeting various facilities in Ukraine on a large scale.

Russia has increased its aggression against Ukraine recently. The Air Force of Ukraine claimed that they shot down 58 drones and intercepted 26 missiles launched by Russia on Friday night. The country’s prime minister, Denys Shmyhal, said the attack damaged energy infrastructure in six regions of western, central, and eastern Ukraine.

Donald Tusk, the former president of the European Council, said that the responsibility for the recent terrorist attack in Moscow was imposed on Ukraine by Russian President Vladimir Putin without any evidence. In order to justify this, it is necessary for him to intensify attacks on civilian installations in Ukraine.

The Polish prime minister also mentioned Russia’s first ever hypersonic missile attack on Kiev earlier this week.

Donald Tusk was re-elected as Prime Minister in Poland last year.  Before that, he was the Prime Minister of Poland from 2007 to 2014. In his first interview with a foreign journalist after taking office last year, Donald Tusk urged European leaders to strengthen their defense systems.

According to the Polish Prime Minister, if European countries can become more self-reliant militarily, the United States will become a better ally of Europe, regardless of whether Joe Biden or Donald Trump are elected in the US presidential election next November.
