British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak admitted the defeat of his Conservative Party in the early parliamentary elections held on July 4. He congratulated the victory of Labor and, in particular, the leader of the winning party, Keir Starmer.
Sunak won in his constituency of Richmond and Northallerton. In the latter, he made a short speech after the announcement of the results.

“The Labor Party won this election, and I called Keir Starmer to congratulate him on his victory today. Power will change hands peacefully and with order from both sides. This is what should give us confidence in the stability and future of our country. The British people have delivered a sobering verdict today; there is a lot to learn, and I take responsibility for the defeat,” Sunak said.
In turn, Starmer will become the new Prime Minister of Great Britain on July 5.

We will remind you that, according to the exit polls of the BBC, ITV, and Sky, the Labor Party won the elections in Great Britain with a convincing majority of 170 votes. If the forecast is correct, Keir Starmer will become prime minister with 410 Labor MPs—slightly fewer than Tony Blair had in 1997.
The Conservatives are predicted to reduce their presence in the House of Commons to 131 MPs—the lowest number ever. It is expected that third place will be taken by the Liberal Democrats with 61 deputies.
