Rajnath Singh asked the Indian armed forces to be ready to maintain peace

Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that India is a peaceful country. India’s armed forces must be war-ready to maintain peace. Referring to the Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Hamas conflicts and the situation in Bangladesh, Rajnath advised his country’s military commanders to analyze these developments. He asked the Indian military to be prepared to face the ‘unexpected’.

During the Joint Commanders’ Conference of the Armed Forces in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India, Defense Minister Rajnath made these statements in his presidential address. This information was informed in a statement of the Ministry of Defense of India yesterday. The statement was published on the website of the Press Information Bureau (PIB), Government of India.

Yesterday was the second and last day of the summit of India’s top military leadership. In the conference, Rajnath appreciated the invaluable contribution of the country’s armed forces in advancing the vision of ‘Self-reliant India’, including protecting national interests. At the same time, he appreciated the steps taken to further cooperation and integration between the three forces.

“We have to focus on the present,” declared India’s Minister of Defense. ‘We need to be aware of the goings on in our immediate surroundings. Being future-focused is something else that needs to be considered. We require a strong and robust national security component to accomplish this. We ought to possess impenetrable resistance.’

Rajnath urged the military commanders to properly incorporate traditional and modern weapons in the arsenal of the Indian armed forces.

India’s defense minister emphasized developing space and electronic warfare capabilities. He described them as integral to meeting modern-day challenges.

India’s Defense Minister urged the military leadership to focus on increasing the use of the latest technological advancements in the information and artificial intelligence (AI) sectors.

The Indian Armed Forces’ highest levels were present at the conference. In the framework of national security, they talked about the issues the country is currently and in the future facing.

Attending the conference were India’s Minister of State for Defense, Sanjay Seth; General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Staff; Army Chief, General Upendra Dwivedi; Navy Chief Admiral, Dinesh Kumar Tripathi; Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal VR Chowdhury; Defense Secretary, Giridhar Aramane; and others.
