US President Donald Trump’s Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, has visited Saudi Arabia. During his visit, he met with the Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, last Wednesday. Reported by Reuters.
Citing two sources who know about the visit, the US media outlet Axios published this news on Friday.
Trump will be inaugurated as the president of the United States on January 20. He chose Massad Boulos as one of his senior advisers on Arab and Middle Eastern affairs. Boulos is the father-in-law of Donald Trump’s daughter Tiffany. Axios also reported that Boulos will meet Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani this week.
Earlier in his election campaign, Trump promised to restore “peace” in Ukraine and the Middle East. He insisted that if he won, he would end the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza and the Israel-Hezbollah war in Lebanon.
