English Premier League saw an increase in revenue for the 2025-2028 cycle, reaching £12.25 billion, a growth of 17% compared to the previous cycle. The announcement was made during a shareholder meeting in London on Friday (22 Nov. 2024).
International revenues contributed to growth, outpacing domestic TV earnings. The Premier League has signed a four-year domestic deal with Sky Sports and TNT Sports. The new global partnership begins next season.
Telecoms company Jasmine International signed a $233 million deal in Thailand, while other markets, including Mexico, Japan, and the Caribbean, signed new partnerships. Sky renewed its contracts in Germany and Italy. In the US, NBC kept its contract, as did Viaplay in the Nordic region.
In the sponsorship segment, the Guinness beer brand signed a deal worth 52 million pounds sterling (US$65,854,378). The British bank Barclays renewed its contract for 75 million pounds sterling.
Starting with the 2026–2027 season, broadcast operations will be directly taken over by the Premier League. The launch of a dedicated streaming platform, potentially dubbed “Premflix,” will be made possible by the modification of the partnership with IMG.
