Microsoft Corporation has announced the launch of a passkey facility for all account users. Last year, Microsoft introduced Passkey to the Windows 11 operating system. Now, Microsoft account owners can create passcodes on the Windows, Android, and iOS operating systems. As a result, it is now possible to enter the Microsoft account from Windows, Android, and iOS operating system devices very easily without writing the password.
Users can generate a passcode for their Microsoft account by entering this web address. Users can then select their face ID, fingerprint, PIN, or security key to sign in to their Microsoft account from the device. As a result, you can easily access the Microsoft account by following the chosen method without entering a password.
Microsoft’s corporate vice president of security, compliance, and identity, Vasu Jakkal, said that users can now sign in using a passcode to access Microsoft 365, Co-Pilot, and web browsers from desktop and mobile browsers. Passkey facilities are now being used in the accounts of all technology companies, including Apple, Google, and Microsoft. So far, 400 million Google accounts have been enabled with the Passkey feature. As a result, passkeys will be widely used instead of passwords in the future.
Note that the passkey technology stores the user’s fingerprint or face. As a result, various websites and apps can be accessed including unlocking the phone using fingerprint or Face ID. This new method is relatively safe. Because,it uses fingerprint or face verification to confirm the identity of the user. As a result, hackers cannot easily access users’ accounts and collect information.
