You can enter your X (formerly Twitter) account using ‘passkey’ instead of the traditional password on Android phones. X has also started working on the passkey facility for Android phones. Although X has not made any official announcement in this regard, after reviewing the code of the small blog writing site, the passkey facility will be launched for Android users soon, said a blogger named ‘Assembledebug’.
Last January, X introduced the option of using passcodes instead of written passwords for iPhone and iPad users. With Passkey technology, the user’s fingerprint or face is already stored online. As a result, various websites and apps can be accessed, including unlocking the phone using a fingerprint or Face ID. As a result, hackers cannot easily access users’ accounts and collect information.
When this new facility is introduced, Android phone users, like iPhone and iPad users, will not need to remember the password while accessing their X account. The use of Face ID and Touch ID in the passkey system will make X Account more secure than it is now.
Note that in passkey systems, user identification, such as a fingerprint or screen lock pin, is essentially connected to all devices via the cloud. Cryptographic passkeys can be adapted (synchronized) to all devices via the cloud. As a result, the device can be unlocked using a fingerprint or screen lock pin, as well as access specific websites or app accounts.
