China is making efforts to meddle in and exert influence over the next US elections. The United States has evidence on the matter, not allegations. This was claimed by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.

Anthony Blinken made this accusation against China in an interview given to CNN’s Kylie Atwood in Beijing on the last day of his three-day visit to China.

Anthony Blinken met with top officials, including President Xi Jinping, during his visit to China. He went on a visit to China amidst ongoing tension in bilateral relations on various issues.

Anthony Blinken said that US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping met in San Francisco last November. Even then, Joe Biden sent a message to Jinping that China should not try to interfere in the 2024 US presidential election. At that time, Jinping promised him that no such action would be taken by China.

In an interview with CNN on Friday, the US Secretary of State said that China is trying to influence the upcoming US elections. The evidence in this regard has also come into the hands of Washington.

Anthony Blinken said, ‘We are watching very carefully any Chinese interference in our elections. This is totally unacceptable to us. I gave that message.’
