Manchester City took the lead in the Premier League. This Tuesday (14), in London, Pep Guardiola’s team beat Tottenham 2-0 in a postponed game and overtook Arsenal in the classification zone with one round to go in the championship.
In the second half, Erling Haaland scored both goals. The Norwegian striker scored the first in the 51st minute, after a cross from De Bruyne, and closed the score with a penalty kick in the 91st. Minutes before the second goal, Son had a clear chance to equalize for the Spurs, but Ortega saved the shot.
Despite the victory, Manchester City suffered problems during the clash. Guardiola replaced De Bruyne and Ederson in the second half because of injuries.

As a result, Manchester City, who have played the same number of games as Arsenal, are two points ahead of them after 36 rounds. The Gunners were hoping for a stumble from the Sky Blues so they could rely on them in the final round. However, they will have to beat Everton at home and hope for a draw or defeat for City against West Ham at the Etihad Stadium. The two games take place this Sunday (19).
