rain again in Dubai

A week later, another warning. Fear of rain again in Dubai. However, the United Arab Emirates Meteorological Office, ‘The National Center of Meteorology’ (NCM), said that even if it rains again, it will not be as terrible as last time. Light to moderate rain is forecast for Monday night.  The situation will be normal by Wednesday. However, the temperature may drop by 5โ€“7 degrees.

The effects of climate change are evident almost all over the world. It is raining in desert countries and melting glaciers in polar regions. Recently, there was a strong storm in Oman. 20 people died in that country.  After that, the storm washed over the United Arab Emirates. The amount of rain that fell on that one day last week has not been recorded in 75 years.  Dubai Airport was under water for four days. The situation in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah was also deplorable.

Although Dubai is not concerned, Europe is in great fear of climate change. Experts say that at the rate at which the heat is increasing, nature, human health, and the economy are being greatly affected. Europe is warming at the fastest pace, two leading climate watchdogs have claimed in their reports today. Almost twice the global average temperature rise. Due to this, human health will be damaged, and along with the melting of glaciers, the economy will also be affected.

According to data from the United Nations’ World Meteorological Organization (WMO), Europe is now 2.3 degrees Celsius warmer than it was before industrialization. elevated by 1.3 degrees Celsius over the mean global temperature.  Both the WMO and the European Union’s climate agency, ‘Copernicus’, have provided this information. Elisabeth Hamdouch, deputy head of Copernicus, said: “Another year, Europe is getting hotter. An extreme situation is emerging. Record temperatures, wildfires, heat waves, melting glaciers, and less ice.”

The WMO and Copernicus, both organizations, say that Europe must immediately take strategic measures to curb climate change. The use of renewable energy sources such as wind, solar, and hydropower should be increased. Renewable energy accounted for 43 percent of Europe’s electricity generation last year. The previous year, it was 36 percent. But even this does not prevent damage. Last year, 150 people died as a direct result of the heat. Indirect deaths are higher.  Economic losses due to weather and climate change in 2023 will total 13.4 billion euros. Let’s see where it goes this time.
