LeBron ‘Bronny’ James, 19, has been chosen by the Los Angeles franchise as number 55 in the NBA draft.

This past morning, the Los Angeles Lakers chose LeBron ‘Bronny’ James, son of the legendary LeBron James, as number 55 in the 2024 NBA draft.

One of the names that attracted the most attention in this year’s draft was “Bronny,” since he might play alongside his father the following season, an unprecedented occurrence in the NBA.

However, LeBron James’ firstborn had to wait until nearly the very end of the second round of the draft for his name to be chosen. ‘Bronny’, 19, has played this past season in the NCAA for the University of Southern California.

After a disappointing season with the Los Angeles Lakers, LeBron James is considering his options for the next season, including accepting the Los Angeles franchise’s offer to extend his contract for three years at a rate of $160 million.

The arrival of ‘Bronny’ to the Lakers will surely be a factor for LeBron, who is the oldest player in the NBA at 39 years old, to decide to continue in Los Angeles.

Zachary Risacher, number one

The Atlanta Hawks chose Frenchman Zaccharie Risacher this Wednesday as number one in the 2024 NBA draft. Although no Spanish player was selected in the first round, apart from Risacher, another Frenchman has been chosen for second place. Alex Sarr, a new player for the Washington Wizards, played in the youth ranks of Real Madrid. The second-round pick of the draft spent two years with the White Club, where he shared a dressing room with Izan Almansa. The Spaniard, like the Aragonese Aday Mara, was falling places in the projections after having a discreet season.
