Hollywood is welcoming Johnny Depp back with a special project from director Marc Webb, known for The Amazing Spider-Man (2012), starring the rising star Sidney Sweeney.
Following the backlash to the news, a representative for Sydney Sweeney publicly denied that the actress was involved with the project. It is not clear if the actress has negotiated a role in the film or is still negotiating. However, it is known that Johnny Depp’s involvement created some controversy on the networks.
According to reporter Jeff Schneider’s newsletter, the movie, titled Day Drinker, is a supernatural thriller.

For now, there aren’t many details about Depp‘s role. Additionally, the film does not have a release date yet.
Recall that Webb is presently finishing up post-production on the live-action Snow White film, which is scheduled to open in theaters on March 20, 2025.
