One person died and five others were injured after a Russian drone hit a residential building in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, on Friday (25.Oct.2026). According to Serhiy Popko (Ukrainian general), head of the Kiev military administration, more than 100 residents were evacuated from the building in the Solom’yans’kyi district. Reuters reported.
Popko said apartments on the 17th to 21st floors were damaged, and apartments on the 20th floor caught fire.
An hour prior to the attack, the Ukrainian capital had issued a warning about the arrival of drones.
Vitali Klitschko (Mayor of Kyiv) said the victim of the attack was a teenage girl. He also said one of the five injured was being treated in the hospital, and a first aid tent had been set up at the scene.
