Vancouver defeated Inter Miami, making it difficult to reach the finals

Canadian soccer club Vancouver defeated Inter Miami 2-0 at BC Place Stadium in the first leg of the Concacaf Champions Cup semifinals on Thursday, April 24. As a result, Vancouver will face Miami in the second leg with a two-goal lead, which Lionel Messi’s team will have to fight hard to reach the final.

Messi played the entire match but did not score, but his presence ensured Vancouver Whitecaps FC drew a staggering 53,837 fans to BC Place, the highest in the team’s Major League Soccer (MLS) era, which began in 1993.

Striker Brian White scored for Vancouver in the 24th minute of the first half to give the team the lead. Then, in the 85th minute of the second half, midfielder Sebastian Berhalter scored against Miami to give the team a 2-0 lead.

Then, as time expired, the referee blew the whistle to end the game. Vancouver defeated Miami 2-0 and created an excellent chance to advance to the finals.

Jayden Nelson and Pedro Vite each had one assist for Vancouver. Vite performed well in the match.

Inter Miami and Vancouver will face off in the second leg of the semi-final at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale on April 30, with the Canadian club taking a two-goal lead.
