Verónica Toussaint, a radio and television host who appeared on shows with Eduardo Videgaray, Sofía Rivera Torres, and “La Estaca,” passed away tonight. Her passing was verified. Ciro Gómez Leyva announced the death of the former host of La Corneta and presenter of Qué importa! on his television show and on Canal Once’s social media platforms.

What did Verónica Toussaint die from?
Journalist Ciro Gómez Leyva reported that the Ariel winner died due to the cancer she suffered:
“It hurts me a lot.” Our dearest driver died after a long and hard battle of three and a half years. She couldn’t get over it; her smile remains,” said Gómez Leyva.
What type of cancer did Verónica Toussaint suffer?
After being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2021, Verónica Toussaint battled the disease. She gave details about the ¡Qué Chulada! program. She did it in October of that year because it is the month where we seek to raise awareness and promote women’s fight against this disease.
A year later, Toussaint revealed more details about the moment she found out she had breast cancer. “It’s confusing, it’s complicated, you’re scared… yes, you can die without a doubt…) I had a tumor that started in my left breast and went to my armpit. (…) It grew up to the size of a golf ball,” he said on the Puro Glow YouTube channel.
The actress said that she received 16 chemotherapy treatments.
