Singapore’s Changi Airport no longer holds the title of the world’s best airport. This place is occupied by Qatar’s Hamad International Airport.
Singapore’s Changi Airport is now second in this year’s Skytrax World Airport Awards list. Earlier, this airport topped the list 12 times. However, Hamad Airport was ranked second the previous time.
For several years, there was a lot of competition between Doha’s Hamad Airport and Singapore’s Changi Airport for the title of ‘World’s Best Airport’.
In the list of Skytrax World Airport Awards, another airport in Asia, Seoul Incheon, South Korea, is in the third position. At the same time, it has earned the title of the world’s most eco-friendly airport. Tokyo’s Haneda and Narita airports are in the fourth and fifth positions, respectively.
With the increase in passengers after overcoming the shock of Corona, Hong Kong Airport has also progressed well on the list. 22 steps ahead, and now this airport is ranked 11th. The position of Dubai International Airport is seventh this time. Earlier, it was the 17th.
Once again, no US airport topped the list. Washington’s Seattle Tacoma, which was at the top, fell six places to No. 24.
Europe’s position is as strong as ever. Paris, Charles de Gaulle, Munich, Zurich, and Istanbul round out the top ten.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer Badr Al Meer said, “Hamad International Airport is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year. We are honored that passengers have voted us as the world’s best airport for the third time.”
The Skytrax World Airport Awards list is compiled based on passenger satisfaction surveys.
