Hamas’ proposal for a cease-fire, Israel is angry

Negotiations between Hamas and Israel have been going on for a long time to end the conflict in Gaza. Each time, their peace meetings failed. This time, Hamas sent a letter of proposal to America as a mediating country. It said that if the thousands of Palestinians held in Israeli jails were released, the Israelis in their custody would be released instead. Naturally, Israel rejected the proposal this time.

According to reports, many Israeli women and children are still being held captive in Hamas camps. Many of them are sick. Many women are pregnant due to rape. Hamas claims that if 700โ€“1000 Palestinians imprisoned in Israel are released, all of them will be released. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the current position of Hamas is “unrealistic.”ย  He explained that it is impossible to reach a ‘peace agreement’ if these demands are kept.

The war in Gaza started after the attack by Hamas on Israel on October 7. Five months have passed, and the conflict continues. Over 31,000 people lost their lives. Millions of people are homeless. A famine has occurred. There is no food in the children’s mouths. In this situation, the mediating countriesโ€”Egypt, Qatar, and Americaโ€”are trying to reach an agreement. Qatar has not commented on the new proposal by Hamas. “We are asking for a cease-fire in Gaza, because then more aid can be sent to the Gaza Strip,” stated Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

But according to many experts, the more this war progresses, the more it will harm the common people. So this war needs to end very soon.
