Inter Miami has been invited to the White House to celebrate the team’s MLS Cup championship win in 2025, with Lionel Messi likely to be in attendance. The title is the highest honor in the soccer league in the United States, and winning it is a major achievement.

The American daily newspaper Miami Herald has confirmed that Miami FC and their players will visit the White House on Thursday (March 5). Then two days later, Messi’s team will take to the field against D.C. United in Washington, D.C. The newspaper also reported that all the players, including one of the world’s best players, Lionel Messi, are expected to join President Donald Trump for the event.

On December 6, Inter Miami won their first MLS Cup in history with a 3–1 victory over Vancouver Whitecaps FC at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where Messi was named MVP (Most Valuable Player) for his key role in the match.

Miami co-owner David Beckham previously attended a White House event in 2012 while with the Los Angeles Galaxy, when Barack Obama was the US president. The Galaxy won the title in 2011, beating the Houston Dynamo 1-0.
