Meta founder billionaire Mark Zuckerberg overtook computer technology company Oracle founder Larry Ellison to become the world’s third-richest person on Monday (January 6), according to Forbes’ real-time billionaires list. Information reported by Financial Express.
Changes in the billionaires’ net worth mirrored movements in their companies’ stock on Monday (6 Jan), with Zuckerberg’s net worth rising more than 4% to $217.7 billion after market close, while Ellison’s fell 0.3% to $209 billion.
Zuckerberg’s Meta stock closed up 4% at $630.20 on Monday, while Ellison’s Oracle stock closed down 0.3% at $165.78.
According to Financial Express, Zuckerberg and Ellison switched positions between third and fourth place in the race for billionaires on Friday, January 3, with Ellison finishing the day ahead.
