The world’s top 10 companies by revenue in 2024 include companies from the United States, China, and Saudi Arabia. The US retail companies on the list are recognized as the largest companies by global revenue for their international reach and American consumer demand.
The lists published by Visual Capitalist are based on total revenue for companies’ (public and private companies) fiscal years ending on or before March 31, 2024.

According to Visual Capitalist, every hour, the US multinational retail corporation Walmart earns $74 million a week through 255 million customer visits worldwide. Walmart ranked first overall with $648.1 billion in revenue.
Jeff Bezos’s company, Amazon, ranks second with $574.8 billion in revenue. Over the past five years, Amazon’s revenue has more than doubled based on various sectors. In 2025, e-commerce giant Amazon plans to sell vehicles on its online marketplace in the US.
Chinese state-owned electric utility corporation State Grid ranks third among the top companies with $545.9 billion in revenue. According to Visual Capitalist, the company has bought two of the largest power distributors and controls more than 50% of power distribution across China.
