UFC 309 jones vs miocic: Jon Jones knocked out Stipe Miocic, retained the heavyweight belt, and paid tribute to Donald Trump with a signature dance at UFC 309, held at Madison Square Garden in New York, on Saturday, November 16, 2024. The champion took advantage of the presence of the President-elect of the United States to offer his belt after the victory.
“I want to thank President Trump for being here tonight,” Jones said following the victory. Jones said after winning the match. Jones drew chants of “USA” and declared, “I’m proud to be a great American champion. I’m proud to be a Christian American champion.”
Trump was joined by singer Kid Rock, entrepreneur Elon Musk, and UFC President Dana White at the event. When he greeted commentator Joe Rogan, the audience gave the politician, who will take office on January 20, 2025, a standing ovation.
Champion Jones, considered by experts to be one of the greatest fighters in the history of MMA (mixed martial arts), dismissed rumors of retirement. The champion indicated an interest in defending his title against new challengers in 2025.
Trump’s relationship with the UFC is historic. Dana White regularly attends events hosted by the Republican Party and backed its three presidential campaigns.
