The Dallas Cowboys are the most valuable sports brand in the world, with an estimated value of US$2.9 billion, according to a Brand Finance report published on Tuesday, 12.05.2024. The team’s value is 28% higher than that of 2023 and places it ahead of Real Madrid, which comes in second with US$1.8 billion.
Increased revenue, higher ticket prices at AT&T Stadium, and the NFL’s recent broadcast rights agreement are some of the reasons for the growth. And management effectiveness was also cited as a contributing factor to the performance.
The $2.9 billion brand value of the Dallas Cowboys reflects both their winning record (89-64) since 2015 and the strategic vision that has underpinned their success. The Chief Brand Officer, Charlotte Jones, who is Jerry Jones’ daughter, has been instrumental in helping the Cowboys develop their brand identity. According to the Brand Finance report, the Cowboys’ brand is worth more than the combined brands of the five lowest-valued NFL teams, demonstrating the team management’s focus on brand value.
