Defending champions Argentina and Spain will face off in the World Cup final, but former Spanish manager Vicente del Bosque has warned his national team not to underestimate Lionel Messi’s team, Reuters reported, citing El Pais newspaper. He described their opponents as a ‘real nuisance’ and urged the Spanish national team to be cautious.

Spain won the World Cup under Del Bosque in 2010. The Spanish team won its first title by defeating the Netherlands 1-0 in the South Africa tournament.

“Argentina are a tough team to play against — a real nuisance, if I may use the word — and they know exactly what they need to do,” the 75-year-old told the Spanish newspaper El Pais in an interview published on Saturday.

Del Bosque believes the final will be in Spain’s favour, but the Spanish team should be wary of the Argentines, adding that they are difficult to face and have a lot of experience.

Spain dominated France in the World Cup semi-finals on July 14, defeating them 2-0 to reach the final, which puts the Spanish team one step away from winning its second title.

Meanwhile, Argentina will be looking to retain their title after defeating England 2-1 in the semi-finals. However, the Argentina vs. Spain World Cup final match is a hot topic among soccer fans.

Spain conceded only one goal throughout the tournament, while Argentina scored the most goals. In the World Cup final, Messi will face La Masia’s Lamine Yamal, Dani Olmo, Pau Cubarsí, and Gavi, which will be the biggest attraction.
