Google launched a new AI platform called Gemini Enterprise, an AI-powered conversational platform, for business customers on Thursday, October 9. The American tech giant is stepping up efforts to attract more corporate clients and expand its market influence through its artificial intelligence (AI) tools.
The newly launched Gemini Enterprise will be powered by the company’s most advanced AI model and will serve as a conversational platform where employees can chat with their company’s data, documents, and applications, according to Google.
Gemini Enterprise will also provide users with a suite of pre-built Google AI agents to help with tasks like deep research and data insights. The tech giant will also provide tools for companies to create and deploy their custom AI agents, according to the company.
Reuters reported that Google has signed new customers for the platform, including multinational clothing and accessories retailer GAP, San Francisco-based design software company Figma, and online financial services provider Klarna (Buy Now, Pay Later—BNPL).
The new platform builds on the company’s existing offering for enterprise clients (large businesses or corporate organizations), Google Workspace, which already offers businesses various AI features powered by Gemini, opening up another chapter in the corporate world.
Apart from Google, other technology companies like Microsoft and IBM are also competing with each other in the enterprise sector by launching various services and platforms based on artificial intelligence features.
