Google unveiled the Android 15 operating system’s full version in March, following the release of the beta version. In order to prevent phone theft, advanced security measures have been added to the operating system in addition to a number of new features. Let’s examine the recently added features and phone models that support the operating system.
Privacy Space
Many people use different apps to share sensitive or important information for business or personal purposes. It could be awkward if someone else uses the phone and sees this information. The ‘Privacy Space’ feature has been incorporated into the Android operating system to address this issue. Any sensitive app can be quickly hidden from the phone’s app list by using this feature. Not only that, but no one else can view the app’s notifications.
Theft Detection Lock
Following the theft or loss of their smartphones, many people are concerned about the security of their personal data. Since the theft of a phone not only results in monetary losses but also in the loss of private or sensitive data, Thus, users are facing difficulties. In order to address this issue, Google has upgraded the theft detection lock technology with a new anti-theft feature.
Because of the activation of this feature, the phone’s SIM cannot be changed or the Find My Device feature disabled without the user’s consent. In addition, the phone will lock itself if it notices any strange or suspicious activity on the screen. Users’ information will be secure, and the phone will remain unusable even in the event of theft.
