French striker Kylian Mbappé will sign a five-year contract with Real Madrid after the end of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, according to the Spanish club’s announcement on Monday, ending a market soap opera that dragged on for years before the European champion managed to sign his newest “Galactico.” (Reuters)
Shortly after winning their 15th Champions League title, the Spanish champions said in a statement, “Real Madrid and Kylian Mbappé have reached an agreement whereby he will be a Real Madrid player for the next five seasons.”
The 25-year-old French national team captain announced he would be leaving Paris Saint-Germain in a video posted on social media platform X on May 10.

Mbappé will arrive at Real Madrid in July after his contract with PSG expires on June 30, but will be introduced before joining the French squad for the European Championship in Germany.
Mbappé will join a star-studded Real Madrid team with names such as Ballon d’Or favorites Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham and led by Carlo Ancelotti, the most successful coach in the history of the Champions League, with five titles.

Although Mbappé won several trophies at PSG, many times completing doubles and triples national crowns, he never won the Champions League, the only major title missing from his brilliant CV.
Mbappé leaves PSG after seven years at the club, where he won six editions of the French Championship and four of the French Cup. He ends his career at the French capital club as the top scorer in the club’s history, with 256 goals.
