Taylor Swift lyrics are selling for $1 million on the e-commerce company eBay

by Akash Biswas

Singer Taylor Swift lyrics, which are rare memorabilia, have been listed for sale on e-commerce company eBay with a price tag of $1 million. Swiftโ€™s handwritten lyric sheet, which she claims features her own writing, has garnered attention for its unprecedented valuation in the world of pop culture collecting.

Taylor Swiftโ€™s influence on the music industry and around the world is immense; her songs are often considered deeply personal and poetic. Skyrocketing demand for his memorabilia reflects his cultural influence market. Previous sales of Swiftโ€™s handwritten lyrics have been remarkably high, though nothing close to the current asking price on eBay.

The eBay listing calls Swiftโ€™s handwritten lyrics an authentic piece of music history and states that they come with proof of authenticity from JSA (James Spence Authentication) and Beckett.

Earlier, a framed lyric sheet for Swiftโ€™s first single, โ€œTim McGraw,โ€ handwritten by Swift, sold for more than $80,000 at Goldin Auctions and included Swiftโ€™s signature and one from co-writer Liz Rose.

Another Julienโ€™s Auctions โ€œWhite Horse,โ€ a song Swift co-wrote with Rose but written entirely by Rose, was expected to fetch between $600 and $800 but ended up selling for $384.

eBay Description: The most famous person in the world right now is Taylor Swift, who has sold over 150 million albums worldwide and completed the highest-grossing tour of all time. Swiftโ€™s success started after the release of her first single, โ€œTim McGraw,โ€ in 2006.

Whether the eBay listing will attract serious bidders at current prices remains to be seen. If the item sells, it will set a new high for the value of music memorabilia around the world, especially from modern artists.
